About Ministry of Justice
Part of HMCTS, the Tribunals Directorate is responsible for the effective administration of Tribunals in England and Wales and non-devolved Tribunals in Scotland and Northern Ireland. We work with an independent judiciary across a wide range of jurisdictions to provide a fair, efficient and effective justice system. We would like to highlight that this is an office-based position, and the successful candidate will be expected to attend one of the below offices in person to these region :- Midlands, South East, West Midlands
What you'll do
- Manage and progress Residential Property tribunal cases from receipt through to completion.
- Review complex case files and identify actions required to move cases forward efficiently.
- Make informed, evidence-based case management decisions under delegated judicial authority.
- Remove barriers that could delay case progression and ensure timely resolution.
- Apply tribunal procedures, legislation, and established guidance accurately.
- Communicate professionally with judiciary members, legal representatives, government departments, and tribunal users.
- Liaise with internal HMCTS teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective case administration.
- Prepare and maintain accurate case records and documentation.
- Work independently while receiving guidance from Senior Legal Officers and judicial leadership.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
